CASE STUDY 01

Oscar Fragrances

Project Approach

Oscar Fragrances was developed as a scalable WooCommerce store for a growing fragrance business. My role covered both the website build and ongoing SEO, with a focus on keeping the store easy to manage, easy to browse, and properly structured for search.

SEO Work

I handled the technical and on-page SEO setup, including Google Search Console, indexing and crawl monitoring, metadata, internal linking, category structure, sitemap checks and structured data.

During the early research stage, I also used SEMrush for basic keyword research and competitor analysis to better understand the fragrance market, identify search opportunities and guide some of the initial content and category decisions.

Dinari Perfumes

Project Approach

Dinari Perfumes wanted the website to focus almost entirely on shopping. The priority was to get visitors to the product catalogue quickly, with very little unnecessary content or visual distraction.

I therefore kept the structure simple, placing products high on the page and using only a small amount of supporting content around promotions, payment options and store information.

SEO Work

I worked on both technical and on-page SEO, including Google Search Console monitoring, indexing checks, metadata, internal linking, category structure, sitemap reviews and general search visibility improvements. I also reviewed product and category page structure to make sure important pages were easy for both users and search engines to understand.

E-commerce Optimisation

The site is built around direct product discovery, with category filters, promotional pricing, clear add-to-cart actions and a straightforward shopping flow. I also worked on promotional landing sections and campaign updates while keeping the overall experience focused on getting customers into the product catalogue quickly.

CASE STUDY 03

Chargeo

**Completed while working at Imbilla Digital Agency. The project and website remain the property of the agency and client.

Project Approach

Chargeo was positioned as a high-end lifestyle and accessories brand, so the website needed to feel premium without relying on a large production budget. My role was to redesign and rebuild the site in a way that made the brand feel more refined through layout, imagery, spacing and product presentation. I focused on creating a clean visual experience that allowed the photography and products to carry most of the design.

Web Development

I handled the website build and worked on the core e-commerce experience, including product presentation, category layouts, navigation and responsive behaviour. Because the budget was limited, I had to work creatively with the available assets and use front-end customisation where needed to give the site a more polished and premium feel.

Domain Migration & SEO

The original site was hosted on chargeo.co.za, while the long-term plan was to move to a .com domain. Since chargeo.com was unavailable, the new site was launched on thechargeo.com.

To reduce the SEO impact of the migration, the URL structure was kept as consistent as possible and old URLs were redirected directly to their matching pages on the new domain. Internal links, sitemap references and search monitoring were also updated as part of the move.

CASE STUDY 04

Sbaya Mobile

**Completed while working at Imbilla Digital Agency. The project and website remain the property of the agency and client.

Project Approach

Sbaya Mobile was developed as a dropshipping e-commerce store, and I was responsible for the project from design through to development.

The project had a very limited development budget, so I had to work resourcefully. I sourced and edited product imagery, planned the site structure, built the storefront and configured the systems needed to make the store functional.

Web Development

I built the website using WordPress and WooCommerce, including the homepage, product layouts, navigation, checkout experience and responsive behaviour.

Where the standard setup was too limited, I used custom HTML, CSS and PHP to extend the functionality and refine the front-end experience

Ecommerce Setup

I configured the key store integrations, including PayFast, Peach Payments and The Courier Guy. I also set up cart abandonment email automations to remind customers when they left products in their cart

CASE STUDY 05

LK Capital

Project Approach

LK Capital was built as a fully custom website rather than using a page builder or pre-built theme.

I developed the front end using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, which gave me more control over the layout, styling and interactions. The goal was to create a clean, modern website that matched the brand while keeping the codebase lightweight and easy to manage.

Custom Development

I built the site structure and styling from scratch, including the main page layouts, navigation, responsive sections and interactive elements. Where needed, I used JavaScript to handle front-end behaviour and custom functionality, while keeping the overall build simple and maintainable.

Hosting & Deployment

The project was handed to me with an empty VPS environment, so I also had to set up the hosting environment before deploying the website. This involved preparing the server, organising the project files, configuring the site and making sure everything was running correctly in the live environment.

Mobile Responsiveness

Because the site was coded manually, I handled responsive behaviour directly through CSS and media queries.

I adjusted layouts, typography, spacing, image sizing and navigation for different screen sizes to make sure the site remained usable and visually consistent across desktop, tablet and mobile.

CASE STUDY 06

Usuku Oluhle Beads

Project Approach

Usukoluhle is a South African heritage fashion brand offering traditional attire hire, aprons, event dressing and cultural products.

The website needed to communicate the brand clearly while also making it easy for customers to understand the available services, browse the different collections and request a quote. I focused on creating a clean layout that balanced cultural imagery with simple navigation and clear calls to action.

Custom Development

I built the site using HTML, CSS and JavaScript without relying on WordPress or a page builder. This gave me full control over the structure, styling and interactions, and allowed me to shape the website around the brand rather than working within a pre-built theme or template.

User Journey

The site was structured around clear service discovery, with sections for the different offerings, visual collections and direct enquiry paths. The goal was to make the website easy to browse while still allowing the cultural imagery and brand identity to remain the main visual focus.

Mobile Responsiveness

I handled the responsive behaviour directly through CSS and media queries, adjusting layouts, typography, imagery and spacing across desktop, tablet and mobile.
